So get this right; an extremist hate group brutally murders an innocent man, presumably due to their stupid beliefs. The media propagates this in an intentionally inflammatory way, causing extremists from the other side to become enraged, causing more hatred, and encouraging more violence.

Why It's Dumb to Abandon Tumblr Today
Since it became clear that Yahoo was going to buy Tumblr, Wordpress saw the number of blog imports from Tumblr rise from about 400 an hour to more than 72,000. That’s a ridiculous jump. and also a stupid one. Here’s why you shouldn’t leave Tumblr just because it’s under new management.

Well, if you asked for my 2 pence on the matter (which I know you didn’t):
I can see why people think this about Random Access Memories. It’s a bit weird.
Okay, that’s an understatement, it’s reeeeally weird.
At the same time, it’s exactly what I needed in my music library. I’ve spent the last year on an EDM binge, and while that shows no sign of stopping it’s so refreshing to take an hour-and-a-bit break for some 70s disco with modern production.
I get why people are disappointed - it sounds little like previous Daft Punk* in many respects. If I think about it that way I could feel the same - I fucking love old Daft Punk*, and I wish there was more of it - but at the same time I am in no way remorseful of my purchase.
This wasn’t the album I was expecting, it wasn’t the album I thought I’d be able to listen to and enjoy, and for precisely those reasons it’s brilliant to me. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed damn near every track.
Maybe their next album will return to their ‘roots’, though I doubt it. There’s already 5 albums and a film soundtrack of ‘old’ Daft Punk*, and that’s enough for me.
*I feel it should be noted that I considered shortening Daft Punk to it’s leading characters, a D and a P. Then I realised writing about my love for DP wouldn’t quite come across as I intended.

Also, the only thing that Yahoo! have said about the acquisition is that they understand exactly what Tumblr is and plan to let them operate as a separate entity - I can literally quote them as promising “not to screw it up”.

Listening to Say Anything and realising that I was 15 half a decade ago.
This is JASON FYLES and he goes to my university (Newcastle University, North East of England) He is 19 years old, 5’8, ginger hair and slim. He was last seen in the Sandyford area at 2:45am on Thursday morning and has not been seen since. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey cardigan, beige chinos and brown ankle boots. Everyone in uni is so worried about him along with his family and friends. We are coming together as a university to appeal for his safe return. - Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it
- He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass
- He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together
- Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy
He’s HUMAN and he needs our HELP and just PLEASE PLEASE FUCKING REBLOG THIS??? He’s been missing for four days now- when he went missing he would have been wearing his contact lenses and he won’t have had his (very thick) glasses with him so by now he’ll have had to take his contacts out and throw them away and he won’t be able to see well and oh God just please signal boost this
